Snehalaya
Snehalaya - A Home of Love was established in 1989 in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. Snehalaya believes that, "Every woman and child should have the right to a life free from inequality, cruelty and discrimination." It aims to bring Rescue, Rights and Rehabilitation to victims of flesh trade, poverty, droughts, and HIV/AIDS. Other initiatives that the team is invested in are working with children from slums on various school education programs and providing a secure family to abandoned infants. Majority of their beneficiaries include vulnerable women and children, who have been supported with shelter, health care, education, crisis support and tools for sustainable livelihoods through 23 different projects. Himmatgram organic farm that provides nutrition to Snehalaya beneficiaries. Alchemy Capital has been supporting Snehalaya’s education and women empowerment projects for more than 7 years.
